AM Green Wins €585 Million 10-Year Renewable Ammonia Contract for Germany

AM Green has secured a 10-year renewable-ammonia purchase agreement worth at least €585 million after winning the Asian lot of Germany-backed H2Global’s competitive auction. The company will produce Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin-compliant ammonia at its Kakinada Phase 2 project in Andhra Pradesh, where an existing natural-gas-based ammonia and urea complex is being converted using alkaline electrolysis. Shipments to Germany are expected to begin in 2029. The purchaser can acquire additional volumes using proceeds generated from resale of the renewable ammonia in Europe. The long-duration contract provides an international offtake route for India’s emerging green-hydrogen and green-ammonia production industry.

Vestas Wins 614 MW of Wind Turbine Orders for Two Western Australia Projects

Vestas has secured two Western Australian turbine orders totalling 614 MW, covering the Parron Maam Marang and Kondinin wind projects. The contracts involve 99 V162-6.2 MW EnVentus turbines and include 30-year Active Output Management 5000 service agreements. Atmos Renewables’ 484 MW Parron Maam Marang Wind Farm will use 78 turbines, with delivery scheduled for 2027 and commissioning targeted for 2028. The second order covers the Kondinin project and the remaining 21 turbines. The contracts add more than 600 MW to Vestas’ third-quarter 2026 order intake and provide the manufacturer with decades of associated service revenue after the projects enter operation.

FRV Commissions 100 MW / 200 MWh Terang Battery in Victoria

FRV Australia has commissioned the 100 MW/200 MWh Terang battery energy storage project in Victoria, its first utility-scale standalone BESS in Australia. The project received A$7 million from Victoria’s Energy Innovation Fund to deploy grid-forming inverter technology capable of providing system-strength services. Terang incorporates 48 SolBank 3.0 battery containers supplied by Canadian Solar’s e-Storage and 38 SMA inverters. Canadian Solar also served as EPC contractor, with TEC-C providing balance-of-plant works. FRV is separately constructing the 250 MW/500 MWh Gnarwarre battery in Victoria, targeted for completion by the end of 2027, while operating or constructing more than 1.3 GW of Australian solar capacity.
