Exus Acquires 715 MW US Solar Portfolio in Louisiana and Wisconsin
Exus Renewables North America has acquired four utility-scale solar projects totalling 715 MW from ibV Energy Partners, significantly expanding its US development portfolio. The acquisition comprises the 310 MW Maple Grove Solar 1 and 2 projects in Wisconsin, plus the 125 MW Bayou Teche and 280 MW Bayou Chicot projects in Louisiana. Exus plans to build and operate the projects and is in discussions with utilities and technology companies over power offtake. The locations are experiencing rapidly rising electricity demand, including from data centres. The projects already have advanced grid-interconnection positions, giving Exus an opportunity to bring substantial new solar generation online comparatively quickly. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Gamuda Wins A$790 Million Contract for 435 MWp Solar and 1,449 MWh Battery Hub
Gamuda has secured an A$790 million engineering, procurement and construction contract for the first stage of Australia’s Mortlake Energy Hub. The project in Victoria combines a 435 MWp solar farm with a 300 MW/1,449 MWh battery energy storage system connected to the 500 kV electricity network through the Mortlake terminal station. Gamuda Engineering will install, test and commission the facilities, with work expected to continue until January 2029. A separate operations and maintenance contract worth around A$45 million is expected. Financial close is targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026, while main construction is scheduled to begin in November after the developer issues notice to proceed.
KPI Green Energy Secures ₹2,025 Crore Contract for 500 MW Rajasthan Solar Project
KPI Green Energy has received a ₹2,025 crore turnkey EPC order from NACOF Oorja for a 500 MW/550 MWp solar photovoltaic project at Dantoor in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district. The facility will form part of a much larger 5,000 MW solar park being developed at the location. KPI Green Energy’s scope covers engineering, procurement, construction, solar modules, mounting structures, inverters, transformers, switchgear, civil works, SCADA systems, a 33 kV transmission line and evacuation infrastructure. The company is scheduled to complete the project within 12 months after site handover. The contract substantially increases KPI Green Energy’s utility-scale solar EPC order book and strengthens its project presence in Rajasthan.
