SSE Selects Montrose Port as Operations Base for 1.4 GW Berwick Bank B

SSE has selected Montrose Port in Scotland as the preferred operations and maintenance base for the proposed 1.4 GW Berwick Bank B offshore wind farm. The facility will be located at the port’s South Harbour and is expected to support approximately 100 permanent operations jobs over the wind farm’s projected operating life of more than 35 years. Around 30 additional positions are expected during construction of the operations base. Berwick Bank B lies approximately 38 km off Scotland’s east coast and forms part of SSE’s wider 4.1 GW Berwick Bank offshore wind development. The 1.4 GW phase has already secured a 20-year UK Contracts for Difference agreement.

Bharat Housing Network Raises $5 Million Green Bond for Solar and Clean-Energy Lending

Bharat Housing Network has raised $5 million, approximately ₹47 crore, through green bonds from impact investor Symbiotics. The financing forms part of a broader $75 million green basket bond programme structured with British International Investment to support environmentally focused lending in emerging markets across Asia and Africa. Bharat Housing Network will deploy the proceeds through group non-banking finance company Singularity Creditworld. Eligible financing includes rooftop solar installations, electric mobility and clean-technology investments by micro, small and medium-sized businesses in India. The transaction provides additional debt capital for distributed clean-energy assets that are considerably smaller than utility-scale projects but often face more limited access to conventional project financing.
