Terra One Invests in 15-MW Battery Storage Project in Lower Saxony

Terra One is investing in a 15-MW/30-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Lower Saxony, Germany, further expanding its growing portfolio of grid-scale energy storage assets. The project forms part of the company’s strategy to strengthen grid flexibility and accelerate the integration of renewable energy into Germany’s electricity network. The facility is expected to become operational in late 2026 and will be operated through Terra One’s proprietary OneKraftwerk optimization platform.  A key innovation is the use of advanced battery storage and AI-driven energy optimization to store excess renewable electricity and discharge it during periods of high demand. The project also utilizes one of Germany’s early Flexible Connection Agreements (FCA), providing a more efficient approach to grid integration.  The battery system will enhance grid stability, support renewable energy utilization, and improve energy security for consumers and businesses. The investment highlights the growing role of utility-scale battery storage in Germany’s energy transition and supports the country’s long-term decarbonization and renewable energy expansion goals. Terra One currently has a substantial pipeline of battery projects and reserved grid connections, reinforcing its position as a rapidly growing player in Europe’s energy storage market.

LONGi ONE Debuts in Europe with Integrated Solar-Plus-Storage Platform and Localized Support

LONGi Energy Storage has introduced its LONGi ONE integrated solar-plus-storage platform in Europe at Intersolar Europe 2026, marking a major step in the company’s global expansion. The solution combines photovoltaic generation, battery energy storage, energy management and lifecycle services into a unified architecture designed to simplify project deployment and improve long-term operational performance. LONGi also showcased OneNexus, extending the platform to microgrid and distributed energy applications. The company is strengthening its European presence through localized engineering, project delivery and after-sales support. Backed by a service network spanning 120 countries, LONGi aims to establish 30 global local service hubs by 2028 under its “2830 Plan.” European customer systems have achieved an average mean time between failures of 8,500 hours, while average issue resolution time has been reduced to within 48 hours.
