Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) announced that the Solar Goes Corporate event will kick off in San Francisco on Oct. 19.

The announcement comes on the heels of the success of the event in New York City recently.

Event attendees will gain insights into the following:

  • How to best structure a bankable deal
  • How solar procurement acts as a hedge against fuel price spikes and other risks
  • How to structure corporate tax equity as a critical source of capital
  • What rate design elements and supportive policies can help make the business case for corporate solar projects
  • What is the brand value of large-scale solar procurement and how to market that to the corporate world

“With more American businesses installing solar than ever before, we’re gathering the brightest minds in the solar, corporate, finance and legal sectors under one roof for what’s sure to be a can’t-miss event,” said SEIA interim president, Tom Kimbis.

SEIA will be releasing the latest edition of its annual Solar Means Business report at the conference, which highlights the growth in the use of solar energy among America’s companies and ranks top corporate solar users.

“One of the biggest questions on the mind of major companies is how the solar market will transform in the next decade,” said Lily Donge, principal at the Rocky Mountain Institute. “There’s a shift in corporate America occurring in energy, and it leans towards solar.”

“The key is to determine the most strategic path to the greatest ROI and global impact,” said Wendi Littlefield, vice president of marketing communications at Sunlink. “Solar Goes Corporate helps companies define optimal renewable energy strategies, discover the best EnTech solutions and connect with the right partners to maximize their triple bottom line results.”
