Canadian Solar has entered into a 44 MW module sales agreement with affiliates of Entropy Investment Management and Entropy Solar Integrators.
Canadian Solar CS6X-P PV module series will be used by Entropy during the seven solar farms construction in North Carolina in 2014.
The projects are expected to generate approx. 1.1 MW of KW of solar energy within the next twenty years.
This is equivalent to nullifying the carbon emission of more than 94,000 vehicles or powering more than 130,000 homes.
For Entropy, this is the second major order with Canadian Solar that will enter service this year. The deal got consummated at a fair price even after the imposition of new duties on solar products, said, Lewis Reynolds, managing partner, Entropy Investment Management.
Canadian Solar modules provide a 10-year warranty on materials and workmanship, along with a 25 year power output performance guarantee and a third-party insurance policy.
Generating local jobs during the construction of project with an increase in the use of renewable energy is part of the dedication to create a solar-powered America, said, Thomas Koerner, general manager, CSI’s Americas Operation.
