Sungrow FPV Launches New Floating PV System at Intersolar Europe 2025
Sungrow FPV unveiled its SGF-TS30M floating photovoltaic system at Intersolar Europe 2025 in Munich. The system features a modular structure with pre-assembled components, reducing installation time by 30 percent. It offers adjustable snow load capacity, improved stability, and ergonomic walkways for easier maintenance. Designed to meet the European market’s demand for efficient and environmentally compatible solutions, the SGF-TS30M aims to support large-scale floating solar deployment. Sungrow FPV’s new solution aligns with Europe’s push for clean energy expansion and aims to boost performance in floating solar power generation.
Elea Unveils Rio AI City: A 3.2 GW Renewable-Powered Data Center Campus in Brazil
Elea Data Centers has announced the launch of Rio AI City, a data center campus located in Rio de Janeiro’s Olympic Park. The project aims to provide up to 3.2 GW of renewable energy capacity to support artificial intelligence and cloud computing applications. The first phase includes the operational RJO1 facility and the under-construction RJO2, delivering 80 MW by 2026. Future phases plan to add RJO3 and RJO4, reaching an initial 1.5 GW, with potential expansion to 3.2 GW. The campus utilizes waterless cooling systems and green architecture, and is integrated with Rio’s Mata Maravilha urban regeneration project. It is expected to create over 10,000 jobs and attract technology companies to the region
White Cross Floating Wind Project Secures Onshore Consent in North Devon
North Devon Council has approved the onshore consent application for the 100 MW White Cross floating wind farms, a joint venture between Flotation Energy and Cobra. The project, located off the coast of southwest England, will utilize floating wind technology to harness offshore wind energy. The onshore consent covers infrastructure necessary to connect the offshore turbines to the national grid. This approval marks a significant step forward in the development of the White Cross project, contributing to the UK’s renewable energy targets and supporting the growth of floating wind technology.
Qair and Koehler Resume Construction of 31 MW Wind Farm in Germany
Qair and Koehler Renewable Energy have resumed construction of their 31 MW wind farm in Germany after a winter hiatus. The project, located north of Waldeck in North Hesse, will feature five V162 wind turbines. Once operational, the wind farm is expected to generate approximately 28,000 MWh of electricity annually, contributing to the region’s renewable energy supply. The project is part of Koehler’s broader strategy to expand its renewable energy portfolio, which includes wind, hydroelectric, biomass, and photovoltaic projects across Germany and the UK.
