India will host the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo (BRE Summit & Expo) 2026 from November 2-5, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, bringing together global policymakers, renewable energy companies, investors, technology providers and financial institutions to accelerate clean energy investments and international collaboration.
Announcing the event during the Curtain Raiser in New Delhi, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Shri Pralhad Joshi said the summit will, for the first time, combine three major renewable energy events under one platform: the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026, the 9th Session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly, and the 4th International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH). He also confirmed that the Prime Minister has agreed to inaugurate the event, highlighting India’s commitment to renewable energy and the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The summit is expected to attract leading renewable energy developers, solar and wind technology companies, battery energy storage providers, green hydrogen innovators, manufacturers, financial institutions, international organizations and investors, covering the entire renewable energy value chain.
Shri Pralhad Joshi said invitations have been extended to 34 countries for the BRE Summit & Expo, while the International Solar Alliance has invited 128 countries to participate in the ISA Assembly, reinforcing India’s growing leadership in global renewable energy cooperation.
Highlighting India’s clean energy progress, the minister said the country is set to cross 300 GW of installed non-fossil fuel power capacity soon. He also noted that the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is expected to surpass 50 lakh beneficiary households in the coming weeks, demonstrating rapid adoption of rooftop solar across India.
The minister said the summit is designed to strengthen global partnerships, attract investments, promote innovation and deepen international cooperation across renewable energy technologies. During the event, he unveiled the official summit logo, “URJHA Chakra,” and launched the official digital portal and mobile application for BRE Summit & Expo 2026.
Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy Shri Shripad Yesso Naik highlighted the contribution of Indian states to the country’s energy transition. He cited Rajasthan’s solar expansion and Gujarat’s Khavda project, described as the world’s largest hybrid renewable energy park, while noting that several other states are advancing hydropower, floating solar, biomass and decentralized renewable energy projects.
MNRE Secretary Santosh Kumar Sarangi said India’s renewable energy growth has been driven by four pillars: policy stability, market creation, ecosystem development and transmission infrastructure. Looking ahead, he said the next phase of the country’s energy transition will prioritize hybrid renewable energy projects, battery energy storage systems (BESS), floating solar, agrivoltaics and the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
The Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo (BRESE) 2026 builds on the legacy of the RE-INVEST platform while expanding its focus to renewable energy policy, manufacturing, finance, technology, innovation and international collaboration. By hosting the BRE Summit & Expo, the 9th ISA Assembly, and the 4th International Conference on Green Hydrogen together from November 2-5, 2026, India aims to create one of the world’s largest renewable energy gatherings, driving investment, clean technology deployment and global cooperation in the energy transition.
