SUEZ outstands for North American environmental services

SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT NORTH AMERICA rose in ranks of the largest environmental services companies operating in North America in the annual industry listing compiled by Engineering News Record (ENR).

SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT NORTH AMERICA was placed in third-largest position among companies specializing in environmental services and also third-largest nationwide company for water treatment and supply services, up from #16 last year.

This year, SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT reported organic growth and new business contracts, indicating the industry development as well as highlighting the environmental services importance.

SENA Waste Services won two contracts with Edmonton Waste Management Center worth $120 million, which enable the city to divert 60percent of household waste from landfill through recycling and composting.

Recently, United Water has announced a deal worth $50 million with the West Basin Municipal Water District to operate Water Recycling Plant and four satellite plants. It comprises one of the most unique water recycling operations of its kind, having recycled more than 140 billion gallons in drought-stricken California since 1995.

In 2013, Infilco Degremont won the contract to supply seventeen of its Climber Screens to the US Army Corps of Engineers for channel debris removal.

The rise in national ranking underlines the increasing ability to help clients manage critical natural resources in cost effective ways and an increasing demand for group’s competencies in enabling the protection, generation and optimization of resources.
