Hydro power company SJVN aims to spend Rs 900 crore

India Government-owned hydro power company SJVN said it aims to spend Rs 900 crore towards its Capex (capital expenditure) plan in fiscal 2018-19.

SJVN is targeting to achieve an annual turnover of Rs 2,175 crore during the current financial year.

Ajay Kumar Bhalla, secretary (Power) and Nand Lal Sharma, chairman and managing director of SJVN, signed a MoU. As per the MOU, SJVN will try to achieve 9,200 million units generation.

SJVN has generated 9,280 million units from its projects under operation with an installed capacity of 1964 MW in FY 2017-18 against the target of 8,950 million units.

Currently, SJVN has four projects with capacity of 1,610 MW under construction and another four projects with capacity of 2,155 MW under various stages of clearances, soon to enter construction.

SJVN targets to become a 5700 MW+ generating company.
