American DG Energy provides green energy to Club Fit

By Greentech Lead America: American DG Energy an On-Site
Utility, offering clean electricity, heat, hot water and cooling solutions to
hospitality, healthcare, housing and athletic facilities, has installed a
combined heat and power system (CHP) at Club Fit, a health and fitness facility
in Jefferson Valley, New York. The value of the agreement to the Company is $3
million.

The CHP system is
owned and operated by American DG Energy. The 100 kW CHP system tied into Club
Fit’s existing boiler system produces energy in the form of electricity, space
heat and domestic hot water for the pool and spa.

As per the agreement with American DG Energy, Club Fit
only pays for the energy used by the facility and avoids all capital,
installation, operating and maintenance costs of the energy system. Club Fit
will receive a discount on the energy produced by the system and will provide
immediate cost savings to Club Fit.

CHP systems are a cleaner energy option, offering
considerable environmental benefits when compared with purchased electricity
from the grid. Club Fit’s CHP system will reduce their carbon emissions by
approximately 367 tons per year, or the equivalent of planting 71 acres of
forest annually.

American DG Energy sells the energy produced from an
On-Site energy system to an individual property as an alternative to the
outright sale of energy equipment. On-Site Utility customers only pay for the
energy produced by the system and receive a guaranteed discount rate on the
price of the energy. All system capital, installation and operating expenses
are paid by American DG Energy.

American DG Energy to provide on-site energy solution to YMCA
in Greenwich

Recently, American DG Energy announced it will provide an
on-site energy solution to the YMCA in Greenwich, Connecticut. The YMCA
will receive a portion of its energy from a 75 kW combined heat and power
system (CHP), which will be owned and operated by American DG
Energy. Moreover, the YMCA will receive a discount on the energy produced
by the CHP system and reduce its carbon footprint.
