Today’s renewable energy news includes announcements Deployable Energy, Solaris Energy, Doral Renewables, Hoymiles, among others.

Solaris Invests in Deployable Energy’s Microreactor Technology

Deployable Energy has secured an equity investment and commercialisation collaboration with Solaris Energy Infrastructure to advance transportable small modular reactor technology. Solaris disclosed the investment during its second-quarter 2026 business update, describing it as early exposure to next-generation nuclear energy. The companies intend to explore deployment of microreactors for defence, industrial, digital-infrastructure and other mission-critical applications requiring resilient, continuous power. Deployable Energy designs factory-manufactured nuclear systems intended for rapid deployment, straightforward operation and use in locations that conventional electricity infrastructure cannot easily reach. Solaris contributes expertise in power generation, distribution, installation, commissioning, aftermarket support, operations and maintenance. Although the investment amount was not disclosed, the collaboration is expected to support commercial deployment and complement Solaris’s existing distributed-generation capabilities.

Doral Renewables Secures US$400 Million to Accelerate Solar and Storage

Doral Renewables has signed a US$400 million common-equity investment from Doral Group Renewable Energy Resources, adding to the investor’s existing ownership position. The funding will support project construction, Safe Harbor timelines and the deployment of additional renewable capacity across the United States. Doral Renewables has a solar and battery-storage development portfolio exceeding 17 GW, including nearly 450 MW in operation and close to 1,500 MW under construction. Its activities span 16 states and five electricity markets. Separately, Clean Air Generation, owned by Doral Renewables CEO and co-founder Nicholas Cohen, will exchange its membership interests for cash and Doral Group shares. Cohen will remain president, CEO and a board member, while the board’s composition and voting ownership will remain unchanged.

Hoymiles Captures 17.4 Percent of Global Microinverter Shipments

Hoymiles accounted for 17.4 percent of worldwide microinverter shipments in 2025, according to data from S&P Global Energy. The result reinforces the company’s position in the expanding distributed-solar market, where microinverters optimise electricity production at the individual solar-module level. Hoymiles attributed its market performance to continued product development, global channel expansion and growing demand for smart solar and energy-storage solutions. The company supplies microinverters, rapid-shutdown equipment, communication devices and storage systems for residential and commercial installations. Its international expansion includes markets across Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Americas and other regions experiencing stronger adoption of rooftop and distributed photovoltaic systems. Hoymiles said the 17.4 percent shipment share demonstrates customer acceptance of its technology and provides a foundation for further growth in solar generation and energy storage.
