America: Solar Junction, a manufacturer of high-efficiency III-V
multi-junction solar cells, has selected Tensoft’s Fabless Semiconductor
Management (FSM) and Microsoft Dynamics as the company’s core ERP and supplier
collaboration solution.
“Solar Junction evaluated various vendors during our
system selection process. After an in-depth review, we selected Tensoft’s
semiconductor ERP solution as a backbone toward scaling our company’s solar
cell operations,” said Ivan Fujihara, vice president of finance for Solar
Junction.
Tensoft’s Fabless Semiconductor Management is a SaaS solution for technology companies that have
outsourced manufacturing operations as well as traditional semiconductor,
integrated circuit, optical, RF, MEMS, Solid State, LED and solar companies.
Solar Junction seeks a cloud solution to manage its
rapidly expanding business; FSM supports the unique manufacturing, supply chain
and financial needs of semiconductor and high-tech businesses and is designed
to scale with growth to meet changing business requirements.
“We’re pleased to work with Solar Junction to streamline
their solar energy cell manufacturing process using Tensoft FSM. A cloud-based
implementation will ensure the optimal security, reliability, and scalability
that Solar Junction requires to thrive in this burgeoning industry,” said
Bob Scarborough, Tensoft president and CEO.
American Department of Energy awards SUNPATH to Solar Junction
Solar Junction recently received a SUNPATH award from the
Department of Energy (DOE) as part of a $21.5 million program to increase its
CPV cell manufacturing capacity. Through this program, Solar Junction is
targeting a median cell efficiency of 42 percent on 150mm substrates.
