AnythingIT in pact with Samsung for e-waste and asset recovery program

By Greentech Lead Team: AnythingIT, an information
technology end of life reuse, recycler and e-waste handler serving both
government and commercial markets, announced the launch of its E-Waste
Recycling & Asset Recovery Program for customers of Samsung Electronics
America.

“We greatly value our partnership with AnythingIT
and appreciate their efforts in helping to drive the appropriate recycling of
e-waste, limiting the environmental impact associated with electronics
disposal,” said Richard Hutton, senior channel marketing manager for
Samsung’s Enterprise Business Division.

This program provides partners with access to a dedicated
microsite located at www.PartnerSamsung.com built specifically for asset
recovery, IT recycling and trade-in programs to ensure that all obsolete devices
are resold or recycled in a secure and environmentally responsible way.

The program also offers cash rebate discounts to
customers when trading-in equipment that is in good working condition and of a
reasonable age.

“These programs continue to serve their purpose in
demonstrating a viable and compliant take-back solution for Samsung
customers,” said David Bernstein, president of
AnythingIT.

AnythingIT and Samsung have been partners
since 2004 in offering the EnviroSync Trade-In & Recycling Program as well
as the STAR Toner Recycling Program in both the US and Canada.

“As a global organization, Samsung has a commitment
to adopting eco-friendly practices in all aspects of our business This program
is an important piece in Samsung’s larger “Partners in Innovation”
channel program which was designed to empower our valued channel partners with
the resources they need to provide their customers with the innovative products
and solutions they have come to expect from a global IT
leader,” Hutton added.

Recently, Samsung Electronics partnered  with
Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), for the E-Waste Collection Event on
December 10th at no charge to consumers.
