Doha will Host 10th GCC Water Conference

Greentech Lead Middle East: More than 500 participants
from the GCC States and a number of Arab and foreign countries will participate
at the 10th GCC Water Conference on April 22, at Doha, Qatar.

The conference will focus on coordination and cooperation
between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in the development and
management of water resources as well as rationalization of water usage. More
than 70 working papers will be presented during the event.

The conference will also review the challenges associated
with the remarkable growth and the economic boom Qatar and the GCC countries
were witnessing.

The event event
is organized by the Water Science and Technology Association, Qatar General
Electricity and Water Corporation, and the Secretariat General of the GCC.
Qatar National Food Security Programme (QNFSP) is the strategic partner of the
conference.

Qatar National Food Security Program aims to highlight the
importance of the role of States, institutions and individuals to increase
their cooperation in water projects, food and energy sectors. With this
partnership, QNFSP aims to strengthening the joint action in order to ensure
the sustainability of water resources in the region.
