Greentech Lead America: Dow Solar has collaborated with
Imagine Homes, a San Antonio-based homebuilder, to install the DOW POWERHOUSE
Solar Shingle roof system on all new homes in Imagine Homes’ six San Antonio
area residential communities and on all homes in the Willis Ranch community.

Shingle roof system allows home owners to transform their roofs into a
power source that offsets a significant percentage of home energy costs. With
this collaboration, Imagine Homes becomes the first homebuilder in Texas to
offer DOW POWERHOUSE Solar Shingle roof systems as part of their product
portfolio.

The DOW POWERHOUSE Solar Shingle roofing system features
a custom designed array of shingles to fit the individual homeowner’s budget
and energy goals, and it is arranged to complement the style and form of the
home and roofline, a solar Inverter that converts direct current (DC) into
alternating current (AC) and feeds the home’s power needs or can be returned to
the power grid and a monitoring system accessible from any internet
connection.

Recently, Dow Solar launched DOW POWERHOUSE Solar Shingle
in northern California market through its two exclusive POWERHOUSE authorized
dealers -Town & Country Roofing and Dority Roofing.Dow Solar’s POWERHOUSE
Solar Shingle is a complete roofing system that protects the home like a
standard roofing shingle while using the sun to power it. Each custom designed
array is able to offset as much electricity as the homeowner targets.
