Car Charging, the provider of electric vehicle charging services, has entered into an agreement with the City of Plano, Texas for the operation and maintenance of 19 Blink EV charging stations across 7 locations, reports Yahoo Finance.
The Blink EV charging locations include Russell Creek Park, Maribelle Davis Library, Carpenter Park Recreation Center, and Oak Point Recreation Center.
Texas continues to be a strong growth market for CarCharging. Located within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, Plano offers the opportunity to expand the services provided across the state and widen the leadership position in the Southern U.S, said, Michael D. Farkas, founder, CEO, CarCharging.
Given the vision for the city of Plano, company is excited to work with CarCharging to maintain and manage the existing Blink EV charging stations, said, Steve Stoler, spokesperson, City of Plano.
Electric vehicle use continues to accelerate, and by partnering with CarCharging, best environment for residents to take advantage of this clean energy alternative to combustion-based transportation can be provided, he added.
Blink Level II EV chargers are efficient for quick recharging of electric cars, and payment can be done with Blink InCard or major credit card via Blinkmobile application, Blink Network website, or Blink customer support center.
The InCard offers discounted charging fees for the Blink charging stations, the software that operates, monitors, and tracks the Blink stations and all of its charging data for drivers.
