JA Solar has announced that its polycrystalline RIECIUM modules passed the 500-hour Potential Induced Degradation (PID) Test conducted by TUV SUD, a testing and certification services.
The tests included extreme parameters like 85 degrees Celsius, 85 percent relative humidity and 1,000 volts of system voltage bias.
The modules displayed a result which recorded less than 2 percent of power degradation.
The outcomes are compatible with Company’s guarantee that its RIECIUM modules are capable of withstanding the double standard IEC62804 PID test, which is conducted under various conditions.
JA Solar launched the RIECIUM module in February this year with a color similar to the mono-crystalline module.
The average conversion efficiency of RIECIUM modules has surpassed 18.6percent, while power output has reached 270W, higher than 10W of industry average.
This achievement is a testament to JA Solar’s efforts to push the boundaries of PV technology, and deliver significant value to customers through the product’s reliability, said, Yong Liu, chief operation officer, JA Solar.
