Innovative Solar Systems (ISS), a developer of large scale solar farms in the U.S., has announced 376 MW of utility scale solar farm projects in various southern states.
The shovel ready projects vary in size from 5MW, 20MW, 35MW and 50MW and will afford owners of these projects with long term Purchase Power Agreements (PPA’s) from credit worth utility companies, a statement from the company said.
ISS CEO John E. Green said this announcement is part of the company’s 2016 pipeline of large scale solar projects totally approximately 2GW.
Returns on large scale projects have become quite attractive to investors and buyers due to the low overall installed project costs, Green added.
ISS primarily focuses on projects varying from 20MW to 80MW. Overall, ISS has developed and sold over 800MW of projects, according to ISS official statement.
The company has built one 75MW project and two 80 MW projects in the State of North Carolina.
