Soluna Secures Land for 166 MW Project Kati in Texas

Soluna Holdings has finalized land agreements for Project Kati, a 166 MW data center in Texas aimed at powering Bitcoin mining and AI applications. Developed in partnership with EDF Renewables and Masdar, the project will proceed in two phases, starting with 83 MW. The site has been evaluated for Tier-3 suitability, confirming its capacity for high-performance computing. Named after scientist Katalin Karikó, Project Kati is expected to enhance Soluna’s renewable energy-powered computing infrastructure.

BluPine Energy launches four new Skill Development Training Centres

BluPine Energy has launched four new Skill Development Training Centres in Bhavnagar district, Gujarat, as part of its initiative to reduce the rural–urban skill gap in the clean energy sector and promote sustainable livelihoods. So far, the centres have benefitted 904 individuals across three phases, with 456 having completed the programme and 448 currently enrolled. Participants have come from multiple districts in Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, and Rajasthan. Notably, 45 percent of the trainees — 402 individuals — are women, underscoring BluPine’s focus on gender parity in rural skilling.

Serentica Renewables signs PPA with NTPC

Serentica Renewables has signed a Power Purchase Agreement with NTPC Limited to supply 200 MW of Firm Dispatchable Renewable Energy to Uttar Pradesh’s distribution companies. The project will use a mix of solar, wind, and battery storage across multiple states to ensure reliable renewable power during peak demand hours. This initiative aims to reduce dependence on thermal power and support a greener energy mix. Serentica’s advanced hybrid infrastructure and energy storage technologies address the intermittency of renewables, offering consistent, clean power to industries and contributing to India’s net-zero goals.

BP reveals oil discovery at Far South prospect in the deepwater U.S. Gulf of Mexico

bp has announced an oil discovery at the Far South prospect in the deepwater U.S. Gulf of Mexico. The exploration well, drilled in Green Canyon Block 584 about 120 miles off the Louisiana coast, reached a depth of 23,830 feet in 4,092 feet of water. Co-owned by bp (57.5 percent) and Chevron (42.5 percent), both the initial well and a sidetrack encountered oil in high-quality Miocene reservoirs. Preliminary data indicates potentially commercial volumes, supporting bp’s renewed focus on exploration and upstream investment under its 2025 strategy reset.
