Vestas bags 50 MW order from CTG Renewables in China

Vestas has won a 50 MW order from new customer China Three Gorge Renewables (CTG Renewables) for the 50 MW project Juye I in Heze, Shandong province in China.

CTG Renewables is one of China’s biggest renewable energy developers. The order includes supply of 15 V155-3.3 MW turbines with 142m towers, as well as a 5 -year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.

“With Vestas’ latest 4 MW platform variant and high tower solution, we hope to make the Juye project, located in a low-wind area, a successful case for CGT Renewables,” said Guoqing Zhao, general manager of CTG Renewables.

Thomas Keller, president of Vestas China, said this partnership benefits from our latest 4 MW platform variant, the V155-3.3 MW.

Vestas has secured more than 300 MW of order intake of the V155-3.3 MW turbine in China with this order.

Vestas said deliveries of wind turbines are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2020, with commissioning in the same quarter.

Another order

Vestas has received an order for a project in China that includes the supply of 14 V136-3.45 MW wind turbines delivered in 3.6 MW Power Optimised Mode, as well as a 5-year service agreement.

Deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2020, with commissioning planned for the same quarter. The project and customer names are undisclosed.
