The China-CEE Fund announced plans to invest up to 1.3 billion zlotys ($406 million) to buy two Polish wind projects.

The projects, Wroblew and Project 2, totaling 250.5 MW in installed capacity, will be developed GEO Renewables.

A joint venture of China-CEE and Enlight will buy the two wind farms. China-CEE will hold 49.9 percent and Enlight 50.1 percent in the joint venture, the company said in a statement.

Wroblew, valued at around 200 million zlotys, is to be completed in November this year with a capacity of around 36 MW.

Project 2 will have an estimated capacity of around 214 MW. The first stage of the project will be finalized at the end of 2015. GEO will retain minority ownership in the two farms.

CEE Equity Partners, which manages the China-CEE Fund, had earlier this year announced plans to spend $500 million in the region over the next two to three years.
