P&O Maritime in pact with RenewableUK

: P&O Maritime has signed the Offshore Wind and Marine Energy
Health and Safety Accord with RenewableUK. The agreement aligns with P&O
Maritime’s commitment to ensuring that Health and Safety is at the forefront of
its operations within the European Offshore Renewables Industry.

As a signatory to this accord, P&O Maritime is
demonstrating its public commitment and support to delivering Health and Safety
excellence in the UK offshore renewable energy sector.

“Signing of this Accord with RenewableUK is another clear
sign of P&O Maritime’s commitment to Global Maritime Excellence. Effective
Safety Management Systems are an integral part of P&O Maritime’s operations
across the globe. The systems in place both ashore and on-board all of our
vessels are operated to ISM Code Standards. P&O Maritime’s management
system is further accredited to ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001
(Environment) and ISO 18001 (OHS) standards,” said Angela Shairp, HSEQ
manager, P&O Maritime

P&O Maritime has adopted a culture of ‘Zero
Harm’ throughout its Global Operations. This recognizes that the safety
and welfare of all employees and also care for the environment is a management
responsibility. This ‘Zero Harm’ ethos aims to maintain a culture where no
work-related injury, near-miss, illness or environmental impact is acceptable.
