Greentech Lead America: ICF International, a provider of
consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial
clients, has received a $12 million re-compete contract from the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). ICF will provide technical support for
program initiatives under the Clean Air Act. The contract has a term of 1 base
year and 4 option years.
ICF will support EPA’s
Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS) with risk assessment for
exposure to chemical mixtures; environmental and exposure model development and
application; multimedia risk assessment; characterizing and reducing
uncertainty in risk/exposure assessment; and identification of pollutant
sources and emissions.
This contract primarily supports the Health and
Environmental Impacts Division of OAQPS, which has broad responsibilities for
risk assessment and other scientific and technical analyses related to
protection of public health.
The company will also support the preparation of
reports to Congress and other documents; handle risk communication; and support
workshops, all focused on air pollutants.
“For more than 15 years, ICF has played an integral role
in developing risk assessment methods for OAQPS and conducting technical
evaluations of air pollutants. This award reaffirms our position as a leader in
providing EPA with technical risk assessment support for the Agency’s air
toxics and criteria air pollutant programs,” said Mark Lee, vice president for
ICF International.
ICF has been working with OAQPS since 1996. ICF has
supported this office in conducting exposure and risk assessments for all six
criteria air pollutants in support of EPA’s reviews of National Ambient Air
Quality Standards.
