Greentech Lead India: GREYWATER, a provider of wastewater treatment solutions, has launched its Grewa-R-S, a next generation, packaged and fully automatic sewage treatment plant.

Grewa-R-S expands on the company’s current product line that is built on sequential batch reactor (SBR) technology platform. The company’s Grewa-R and Grewa-M products already deliver effective treatment and recycling of sewage and waste water.

The compact, packaged, plug & play products from GREYWATER reduce space footprint by 30  percent to 70  percent and energy requirements by 40 percent to 50 percent compared to conventional plants, the company claims. These plants are designed and built to handle variable loads and require minimal manual intervention.

The treated water can be re-circulated in closed systems, used in gardening, horticulture, flushing, cleaning, HAVC, Cooling Towers and many other applications.

Some of the clients using GREYWATER water treatment systems include Dahej SEZ, Mahindra Holidays, Oberoi Realty, Gemco Power, Unitech and Leighton Welspun.

Grewa-R-S has the ability to handle variable loads (10 percent to 110 percent of design capacity). It is also marked by low footprint, low operating and maintenance cost and fully automated and robust operations, the company said.

The company’s R ranges of products are the only wastewater treatment systems in India to offer complete remote monitoring and control, says Vikrum Kishore, executive editor, GREYWATER. They are available in the price range as conventional technology.

“Most of the conventional technologies available in the market today have inconsistent performance and problematic operations. In that respect Grewa-R-S is an amazing product as it ensures consistent availability of recycle and reuse ready output water at considerably lower cost per liter,” Kishore added.
