Highlight Networks opens electronic recycling facility in Syracuse, NY

Greentech Lead America: Highlight Networks has opened an electronics recycling facility in East Syracuse, New York.

The 12,000 square foot facility offers free recycling of electronics, computers, cell phones, servers, and other items, for local businesses and residents. For convenience HNET also offers a 24 hr drop off container located at the front of the facility at 6 Adler Drive, East Syracuse, NY 13057.

Industry reports reveal that Americans throw out more than 350,000 cell phones and 130,000 computers every day. Nationally only 16 percent of electronic waste is recycled. Globally, current estimates report that the worldwide number of PCs will be 2 billion by 2014.

Highlight Networks, headquartered in New York, engages in recycling, refining, metals trading, and asset recovery, with a focus on precious metals refining from electronic waste.

The Company currently operates one facility in NY that contracts nationally for refining and recycling projects. The Company has recently expanded its business to include the repurposing, resale, and recycling of networking and telecom hardware.

Highlight Networks accepts everything from single cell phones to entire truckloads of working and nonworking products. Items are then repurposed, reused, or recycled in accordance with the regulations set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and by the various state departments of environmental regulation, and their guidelines.

The recycling provider also offers a free pick-up service to local clients, and can help arrange shipping on a national basis.
