Dame Vivienne Westwood, British fashion legend has achieved a major share in Trillion Fund, a new renewable energy investment platform for wind and solar farms.
Dame Vivienne Westwood has backed the Trillion Fund, a crowdfunding platform that lets investors support renewable energy projects. She has invested £1m in the platform, and will be an ambassador for the business.
There is no better way of saving the planet than investing in the companies that have the potential to reduce carbon emissions. The aims of the fund are to redirect investments into clean energy and other sustainable businesses, stated, Westwood.
It will allow people to invest in wind and solar projects across the globe. The official launch of the platform will take place this week.
Trillion Fund will use Vivienne Westwood’s cash addition to continue to develop its platform and to boost awareness about the projects.
The start-up has raised £2m in growth capital to date from a consortium of investors. This will rise to £5m by the end of the year.
The solar-powered party is a joint collaboration between Trillion Fund and social enterprise Finding Infinity, which aims to use film-making, digital content, events and consulting to convince corporates and consumers to switch to renewable energy.
Founded in 2011, by Michael Stein and Phillip Riches, Trillion Fund assists to raise $1 trillion through crowd-investing to finance renewable energy developments.
The platform was launched after the warnings from the UN that it will take $1 trillion a year to prevent the world from warming by more than 2 degrees.
