1800Recycling.com with ISRI provide online education program

1800Recycling.com has announced a new partnership with the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), the Opinion of the Recycling Industry.

The partnership will help educate 1800Recycling’s users about scrap recycling, providing access to ISRI’s range of online resources for consumers.

ISRI members manufacture, process and act as brokers and industrial consumers of scrap commodities.

ISRI’s associate members include equipment and service providers of scrap recycling industry. Manufacturers and sellers of equipment and services promote the scrap recycling industry through their membership in ISRI.

As part of the new relationship, all ISRI members have been added to the 1800recycling database.

1800Recycling aims to simplify the process of recycling through education. Teaming the resources with the consortium of recycling industry thought leaders at ISRI enables to provide the best educational resources available in the world of scrap recycling, said, John Shegerian, chairman, CEO, Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), parent company of 1800Recycling.com.

The 1800Recycling.com searchable database is a helpful resource for businesses to connect with members to recycle properly. The commitment to recycling is also consistent with ISRI. Now, it is able to reach 1800Recycling’s audience with information that will help educate them to become more efficient recyclers, said, Robin Wiener, president, ISRI.

Among the ISRI online resources, following links are available on the 1800Recycling site such as Commodities Information, Economic and Jobs Data, scrap metal theft prevention programs, the Design for Recycling Award, and Education Resources for students, including posters and curriculum for K-12 classrooms developed by ISRI in partnership with JASON Learning.
