Scudder Solar Energy, the solar contractors, has been named as the authorized pre-launch contractors for CaliforniaFIRST’s residential PACE (property assessed clean energy) program starting in 17 counties and 167 cities in this summer.
This public-private financing program will let people invest in clean energy programs including solar power, roofs and home insulation enabling to pay over a 5-20 year period through a surcharge on their property tax bills.
PACE financing is designed to help the elimination of upfront costs in solar panel upgrades making solar more accessible and affordable for homeowners.
The program offers 100 percent financing for energy efficiency with fast phone approvals, fixed interest rates and no credit score enquiries, beginning at a minimum financing amount of $5,000.
Pete Scudder, founder, CEO, Scudder Solar Energy Systems said, “This financing option will allow customers to invest in clean energy with financing through their property taxes and it will make solar more affordable to wider class of people.”
Scudder Solar Energy has installed 2.2 MW of solar power so far in the country. The group offers help to local communities to understandthe feasibility and benefits of clean energy projects for the economy and environment.
The CaliforniaFIRST program is administered by Renewable Funding and homeowners can install solar, HVAC, low-flow toilets or roofing systems depending on their choice.
