Lanco Solar completes 56 MW solar power plants in Gujarat

Greentech Lead India: Lanco Solar, a subsidiary of Lanco
Infratech, has commissioned 56 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic power
plants in Gujarat.

It includes three plants of 35 MW owned by Lanco
Infratech and additional 21 MW built as turnkey EPC for other developers like
the Gujarat Power Corporation (5 MW), GSPC Pipavav Power (5
MW), GHI Energy (10 MW) and Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (1 MW).

These projects are expected to generate up to 90 million
units of green electricity annually resulting in reduction of carbon dioxide
emissions by 85,757 tons.

“Gujarat is at the forefront of solar development. We
look forward to continued growth here over our existing 56 MW we have built as
a developer and an EPC player in the last one-and-a-half years in Gujarat,”
said V Saibaba, CEO Lanco Solar.

According to a report in the Hindu BusinessLine, Lanco
Solar is developing 350 MW solar farms as a developer and an EPC player.

Over 90 MW solar PV is currently operational. Lanco is
building a fully integrated PV manufacturing facility at a 250-acre SEZ in Chhattisgarh.
In phase-I, 75 MW module production capacity has been in operation since May
last year. Other facilities for polysilicon, ingot and wafer plants are under
construction.

Adani Group commissions 40 MW solar power plant in Gujarat

In another recent industrial development, the Adani Group
has set up a 40 MW, country’s largest, solar power Plant in Kutch district,
Gujarat.
