ET Solar supplies PV modules rooftop solar plant in Turkey

ET Solar, the energy solutions provider, announced that it has supplied PV modules to DOMILUX Leuchten Herstellung and Vertrieb GmbH (DOMILUX), a solar developer and EPC company from Germany for a 728 kW rooftop solar power plant in Turkey.

Located in Karabuk, Turkey, the rooftop PV plant was was completed in June 2014 with ET Solar as the PV module provider.

In Turkey, PV projects of below 1 MW are in demand. The project is the first unlicensed solar plant for ET Solar in Turkey and the first demonstration solar plant for DOMILUX.

Bernd Kunnemeyer, CEO, DOMILUX, said, “The demand for PV products emerged with growing solar energy market in Turkey and this was the right time for us to enter market. We selected ET Solar for their products and service, the factors that will ensure the success of the project.”

Dennis She, president, CEO, ET Solar, said, “Before this rooftop project, ET solar has supplied various module products and project solutions in Turkey. The transaction deepens our footprint in the market and ensures the future collaboration with DOMILUX.”

On the other hand, Turkey plans to achieve its target of sourcing one third of its power needs from renewable energy by 2023.Having doubled the country’s renewable energy capacity to 25 GW in the past ten years, Turkey will have an estimated 40 GW of renewable energy capacity in ten years.
