Empower Energies execute five distributed generation solar projects

Empower Energies, a clean energy company, has announced the execution of five distributed generation solar projects in upstate New York, totaling 35.3 megawatts (MW).

These projects were secured by Empower’s EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) Services division through a competitive bidding process and awarded by a prominent clean energy developer.

The implementation of these projects aligns with New York’s Clean Energy Standard, which aims to derive 70 percent of the state’s electricity from renewable energy sources by 2030. With sizes ranging from 6 to 8 MW each, these distributed generation solar projects will contribute significantly to the state’s clean energy goals and help reduce emissions.

Patrick Corr, Chief Strategy Officer at Empower Energies, expressed pride in the opportunity to complete these projects in New York and play a role in advancing the state’s Clean Energy Standard.
