Emeren Group, a solar project developer, has sold a 57 MWp solar project portfolio to Trina Solar France.

The portfolio consists of five projects at varying stages of development, including one early-stage and one late-stage project sold in Q3 2024, along with three mid-stage projects that will be monetized in phases and transferred to Trina. The potential inclusion of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) could further enhance the portfolio’s value and flexibility.

Yumin Liu, CEO of Emeren Group, remarked, “Despite the complexities of the permitting process in France, our team successfully delivered a high-value portfolio that aligns with market demands.”

Leonardo Lotti, Head of EMEA at Trina Solar, emphasized the strategic importance of the acquisition: “These projects expedite and enhance our pipeline in France and across the EMEA region, supporting our transition from a primarily project development and sales model to a long-term asset owner and Independent Power Producer (IPP).”

The sale marks a key milestone for both companies, strengthening Emeren’s position as a developer and advancing Trina’s growth in the European renewable energy market.
