BioSolar signs sales agreement with Tomark Industries

Greentech Lead America: BioSolar, a developer of a
technology to produce bio-based materials from renewable plant sources that
reduce the cost of PV solar modules, has signed a sales agreement with Tomark
Industries, a specialist in the field of PV packaging solutions.

As per the agreement, Tomark will act as a distribution
agent of BioBacksheet.

“Tomark is a recognized authority in the field of PV.
Tomark typically partners with reputable manufacturers to create high value,
innovative products. We see them as the ideal partner for the distribution of
our PV backsheet products, as well as future products under development,” said
David Lee, CEO of BioSolar.

BioSolar claims that the BioBacksheet is the
world’s first UL certified solar panel backsheet made from renewable materials.

BioBacksheet’s high thermal conductivity rapidly draws
heat away from the solar cells, which can increase the power output of the entire
solar panel. BioBacksheet’s USDA BioPreferred Certification allows solar panels
to be marketed as more sustainable and socially responsible.

BioSolar is looking to accelerate its selling efforts to
Asian solar manufacturers. The agreement strengthens the company’s ability to
distribute BioBacksheet to a much larger group of PV panel manufacturers.

“The combination of BioSolar’s unique green PV component
design and innovation capability together with Tomark’s extensive background in
developing and marketing packaging solutions for the PV market will allow our
team to service the PV industry as a significant supplier,” said Dave Santoleri,
president, Tomark.
