WPPI Energy picks up Elster metering solution

Greentech Lead America: Elster announced that WPPI
Energy, a power company, has selected Elster for offering its multi-utility
metering data collection and management service.

WPPI Energy will deploy Elster’s EnergyAxis solution to
create a hosted metering infrastructure (AMI) system. The regional power
utility will improve customer service and meter reading for participating
member utilities.

WPPI Energy has 51 consumer-owned utility members serving
more than 195,000 homes and businesses in Wisconsin, Upper Michigan and Iowa

WPPI Energy will integrate Elster’s EnergyAxis Management
System to enable network management, control and operation for its
participating member utilities.

technologies that enable us to more efficiently operate our electric system
while meeting the evolving needs of our member utilities,” said WPPI
Energy Sr. Vice President of Member and Customer Services Tom Paque.

Elster and WPPI Energy will provide members with the
benefits and savings realized through hosted AMI solutions.

Elster has more than 200 million metering devices
