GE has improved its PowerOn Advantage Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), used by Europe to manage their grid.

The software offers a real-time centralized idea of work processes all over the grid to its operators that help the optimization of network performance

It consists of outage management system (OMS) and distribution management system (DMS) facilities.

The grid operators make avail of the PowerOn Advantage ADMS assistance through the user interface, where data finds the user with the help of a preset dashboard containing widgets that can be configured by the user.

In addition, the directed work pages and streamlined workflows help with latest situational awareness, which supports in taking an apt decision during a crucial stage.

PowerOn Advantage can be considered as a standalone OMS or DMS as well as an integrated ADMS.

This innovative technology gets added to GE’s PowerOn platform of grid management products becoming a part of the company’s portfolio of Industrial Internet solutions that ensure constant communication between a business operation and its machines.

The Industrial Internet permits large data to be converted into real-time analytical insight, refining grid efficiency.
