Jaybee Industries, NineDot Energy, Vicinity Energy, DeepGreenX, among others, announced their renewable energy news.
Jaybee Industries intros dry-type transformers
Jaybee Industries, a provider of electrical apparatus manufacturers in India, has introduced a new line of dry-type transformers to meet the demand for sustainable and space-efficient power solutions. These transformers are suitable for commercial buildings, hospitals, data centers, and industrial facilities.
The global transformer market is projected to reach $90 billion by 2030, driven by renewable energy adoption, urbanization, and demand for energy-efficient power solutions. Dry-type transformers are gaining traction due to their lower environmental impact, safety, and reduced operational costs compared to oil-immersed models.
NineDot Energy Announces Douglas Johnsen Hired as CFO
NineDot Energy, a provider of community-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), announced the hiring of Douglas (Doug) Johnsen as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Doug has experience in finance, operations, renewable energy, and entrepreneurship. He has worked with both large and small companies. Most recently, he was co-founder and CFO of Navisun, a solar and storage power producer. Before that, he worked at Greenwood Energy, First Wind, GE Energy Financial Services, and Deutsche Bank.
Vicinity Energy Delivers eSteam, First Carbon-Free Thermal Energy Solution in U.S
Vicinity Energy, a provider of district energy systems in the U.S, announced the launch of eSteam, the first carbon-free thermal energy solution in the country. Its first 42MW electric boiler is now operating in Cambridge, MA, as part of Vicinity’s net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
The electric boiler will allow Vicinity to deliver its carbon-free thermal energy product, eSteam, to customers starting this heating season. Boston and Cambridge customers have partnered with Vicinity to use eSteam in their buildings as a solution to reduce carbon emissions.
DeepGreenX and Veea in Partnership
DeepGreenX, a provider of AI-driven green energy, announced a partnership with Veea, a provider of edge computing, to launch a platform to speed up the shift to green energy. The Web 3.0 platform-as-a-service (PaaS) uses Veea’s secure edge computing to create a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN), allowing developers to build applications using blockchain and contextual AI.
The platform, with $2.8 billion in lease financing for Veea Edge as a part of a 10 billion edge infrastructure investment by 2025, will turn energy sources like hydro, wind, geothermal, SMRs, and alternative fuels (hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, LNG) into Real-World Assets (RWA). These can be traded on DeepGreenX’s ECEx exchange. Carbon credits from nature (land, forests, marine carbon capture) and industries (transportation, construction, supply chains) will also be traded on ECEx using digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV) through Veea’s computing platform.
Seequent and the International Geothermal Association Partner
Seequent, a provider of software solutions for energy industries and a subsidiary of The Bentley Subsurface Company, announced a partnership with the International Geothermal Association (IGA) to boost geothermal energy as a sustainable renewable source.
Seequent’s software innovation includes new physics capabilities for improved fluid tracing, enabling efficient resource management and geothermal operations.
The UN Emissions Report highlighted geothermal energy’s potential to reduce energy emissions by 2035 more than carbon capture, bioenergy, or reducing methane from coal mining. The report also noted additional benefits in horticulture, agriculture, and mineral extraction from technological advances.
The Director General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)Â said geothermal energy in Europe could grow eight times by 2050. The US Department of Energy expects a 26-fold increase. The US Department of the Interior has started easing permitting constraints on public lands
