Casella provides waste, recycling, and resource management services to residential, commercial, institutional, municipal, and industrial customers throughout the northeast.
Casella chose Verisae by Hara considering its capabilities in tracking energy and emissions data from multiple facilities in a single powerful user interface.
Casella gains greater insight into its sustainability programs including emissions reduction efforts that drive progress towards corporate targets. With the visibility gained through Verisae, Casella will be able to improve its environmental impact and share data more efficiently with stakeholders and customers through reporting mechanisms like CDP and GRI, the company said.
For nearly forty years, Casella has focused on managing and conserving environmental resources for its customers and communities in a viable economic model. Between 2005 and 2010, the company reduced its total greenhouse gas emissions by 45 percent. In 2012, Casella was awarded a Climate Leadership Award for Excellence in Greenhouse Gas Management.
