EcoWaste 2015 to be held in Abu Dhabi in January

Abu Dhabi will host the second edition of the waste management exhibition, EcoWaste, in January 2015, reports Construction Week Online.com.

The event will be organised as part of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) celebrated from January 17-24, 2015.

It will address matters connected to effective waste collection and recycling. The event will include a meeting of the municipalities in GCC in addition to workshops and thought sessions.

Besides, the meeting will see participation of public and private sector vendors who has contributed towards waste management sector in the region, in accordance with the goals aimed by Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.

Masdar launched ADSW as part of the efforts to position Abu Dhabi as a leading contributor to global sustainability. The event serves as a unique platform to stimulate debate on critical sustainability issues and solutions across all industries, Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, chairman, Masdar.

EcoWaste represents an important addition to ADSW. The prime timing of this event helps EcoWaste to bring in more participation of key waste management industry players.

The effort focuses on highlighting Abu Dhabi’s initiatives to become an environmentally responsible city in the world for adopting sustainable development practices.

The second edition of EcoWaste will concentrate on region’s urgent waste disposal challenges. Region seeks to integrate latest industry practices for achieving an ideal waste management mechanism.

EcoWaste 2015 will bring together regional and international experts from both the private and public sectors to network and exchange insights.

Moreover, this event will run parallel to the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) and the International Water Summit (IWS) to promote the interconnectivity between energy, water and waste for a sustainable future at ADSW 2015.
