Greentech Lead Asia: Fuel Tech, a provider in advanced
engineering solutions for combustion and emissions control systems for utility
and industrial applications, has bagged three air pollution control orders in
China totaling $2.3 million.
“We are pleased to receive these orders in China from our
existing customer base. We continue to see increased adoption of our
proprietary ULTRA technology and are witnessing a record level of bid requests
for power plants and industrial units throughout China. Additionally, our reach
into the industrial marketplace continues to expand,” said Douglas G. Bailey,
chairman, president and chief executive officer.
Fuel Tech received two orders from existing customers for
coal-fired units that are being retrofitted with nitrogen oxide (NOx) reduction
technology. Fuel Tech will provide ULTRA projects for these
customers. The company will deliver the equipment in the fourth quarter of this
year and the first quarter of next year.
The third order is placed by an existing industrial
customer for NOx control technology. Fuel Tech will deliver its Low NOx Burner
(LNB) and Over-Fire Air (OFA) project on one unit for this customer and
equipment delivery for the project is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this
year.
The Company’s nitrogen oxide (NOx) reduction technologies
include advanced combustion modification techniques. These technologies enable
customers to produce both energy and processed materials in a cost-effective
and environmentally sustainable manner.
Fuel Tech to provide air pollution control systems to E.CL in
Chile
Fuel Tech recently received a $36.6 million air pollution
control contract from E.CL, a
major utility in Chile. The scope of the contract includes turnkey installation
of Low NOx Burners (LNBs) and Over-Fire Air (OFA) systems and mill
modernization for six coal-fired units.
