United Solar Polysilicon and OQ Alternative Energy Partner on 700 MW Solar Project in Oman

United Solar Polysilicon has entered into a strategic partnership with OQ Alternative Energy to co-develop a 700-megawatt (MW) photovoltaic (PV) power station in Oman. This initiative aims to bolster the country’s renewable energy infrastructure and aligns with Oman’s Vision 2040, targeting 30 percent renewable energy capacity by 2030. OQ Alternative Energy will lead the project’s development and implementation, leveraging its regional expertise, while United Solar Polysilicon will supply high-purity polysilicon and provide technical support. The collaboration is expected to enhance energy security, reduce carbon emissions, and create job opportunities, contributing significantly to the Middle East’s energy transition efforts.

Inox Green Energy Services Expands Solar O&M Portfolio to 1 GW

Inox Green Energy Services has signed agreements to provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services for 285 MWp of solar projects owned by two major renewable energy companies in India. This expansion brings Inox Green’s solar O&M portfolio to 1 gigawatt (GW) within a month of entering the solar segment. The projects are spread across multiple sites, though the companies’ names remain undisclosed. CEO S.K. Mathu Sudhana emphasized the company’s rapid growth and its commitment to offering tailored O&M solutions as India’s solar capacity continues to expand.

Reliance Power and Bhutan Form Joint Venture for 500 MW Solar Project

Reliance Power has signed a 50:50 joint venture agreement with Bhutan’s Druk Holding and Investments (DHI) to develop a 500 MW solar power project at a cost of ₹2,000 crore. The project will follow a Build-Own-Operate model and is the largest solar initiative in Bhutan. Electricity from the project will be sold under a long-term agreement to Green Digital Private Limited, a Bhutan government-owned entity. Reliance Power has begun the bidding process for construction and is arranging project funding. This marks a major energy collaboration between India and Bhutan.

Enercon to Supply Turbines for UK LNG Terminal Wind Park

German wind turbine manufacturer Enercon GmbH has secured a contract from renewable power provider Dragon Energy Ltd to supply 12.78 MW of wind turbines for a new wind park at a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in the UK. This project aims to enhance the terminal’s sustainability by integrating renewable energy sources into its operations. Enercon’s gearless turbine technology, known for its efficiency and reliability, will be utilized in this initiative. The collaboration underscores the growing trend of incorporating clean energy solutions within traditional energy infrastructures to reduce carbon emissions and promote environmental responsibility.
