Energiequelle Commissions Repowered 12.3MW Nadrensee Wind Farm in Germany

Energiequelle has commissioned the repowered Nadrensee wind farm in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, increasing its capacity to 12.3MW. The project replaced seven outdated turbines with two Nordex N149/4.5MW turbines, which offer higher efficiency and energy output. The turbines are expected to generate 38 million kWh of electricity annually, sufficient to power 10,000 households. Energiequelle managed the entire project lifecycle, including development, permitting, grid connection, and construction. This repowering project aligns with Germany’s strategy to optimize existing wind assets and contributes to national renewable energy targets. The site is operated by Energiequelle subsidiary P&T Energiequelle. Benefits include higher energy yields, reduced maintenance, better land use, and support for grid stability through modern turbine technology.

Cero Generation Secures £200m Financing for UK Solar and Battery Storage Portfolio

Cero Generation has secured £200 million in project finance from Rabobank and ABN AMRO to fund the construction and development of its UK solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio. The portfolio comprises over 300MW of solar PV and more than 150MW of co-located battery storage assets. These financial close covers multiple contracts, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) agreements, long-term operations and maintenance services, and revenue agreements under power purchase agreements (PPAs). Cero’s strategy focuses on delivering large-scale, co-located renewable energy projects that support grid flexibility and the UK’s net zero targets. The portfolio is expected to deliver clean energy, enhance grid stability, and create long-term investment returns.

R.Power to Develop 61MWp Solar Farm in Romania with EPC Contract Secured

Polish renewable energy company R.Power will develop a 61MWp solar farm in Giurgiu County, Romania, as part of its regional expansion strategy in Central and Eastern Europe. The company has signed an EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) contract with Nomad Electric for the full delivery of the project, which includes construction, grid connection, and long-term operations and maintenance services. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025 with commissioning expected in 2026. The project supports Romania’s renewable energy growth targets and EU decarbonization efforts by increasing clean power capacity and improving grid stability. The solar farm will contribute to diversifying Romania’s energy mix and aligns with R.Power’s strategy to scale solar assets across emerging European markets.
