Trinasolar is strengthening its role in Africa’s renewable energy transition by presenting its latest smart PV and energy storage innovations at Solar & Storage Live Africa. Exhibiting at Booth H5-D34, the company is highlighting integrated technologies designed to support reliable and cost-effective solar deployment across utility-scale, commercial and industrial, and hybrid solar-plus-storage projects.

At the event, Trinasolar is showcasing a portfolio of high-performance solutions, including the Vertex N 750W module, Elementa 3 energy storage system, TrinaTracker Vanguard 1P tracking system, and Trinabot automation technologies. These innovations are aimed at helping developers, EPC companies, and energy providers enhance system performance, improve operational reliability, and reduce the overall cost of renewable energy projects in Africa’s fast-evolving energy landscape.

Trinasolar’s growing influence in the region is particularly evident in South Africa, where it currently holds the leading market share position. A major milestone supporting this leadership is the successful delivery of the 510 MW Khauta Solar Project, one of the largest solar installations in the country. Located in Welkom, the project was executed in partnership with WBHO and includes two simultaneous developments – Khauta South with 352.5 MW and Khauta West with 157.8 MW capacity. Trinasolar supplied high-efficiency modules and provided comprehensive technical, logistics, and aftersales support throughout the project lifecycle.

The company is also expanding its footprint through strategic collaborations, including a partnership with Mulilo. As part of this alliance, Trinasolar has secured a contract for the 220 MW Orkney Solar Project, further strengthening its presence in South Africa’s utility-scale solar segment and supporting the country’s growing renewable energy demand.

With a project pipeline exceeding 2 GW of solar capacity, Trinasolar continues to play a critical role in advancing South Africa’s energy mix. The company is addressing increasing electricity demand, supporting energy wheeling frameworks, and enabling the rapid growth of commercial and industrial solar projects through its integrated technology offerings and proven execution capabilities.

Beyond technology deployment, Trinasolar is also focused on community engagement and sustainable development. The company has supported local initiatives such as wellness programs and sponsored sports activities, including soccer and netball, reflecting its commitment to creating long-term social value alongside energy solutions.
