VinFast Auto India is intensifying its focus on the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market with the launch of its premium electric SUVs — VF 6 and VF 7 — aimed at Indian consumers seeking sustainable mobility solutions.

VinFast, which is facing competition from the India entry of EV market leader Tesla, emphasizes real-world range, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and connected features tailored to Indian driving conditions. Both models address urban and intercity mobility needs with spacious interiors, panoramic roofs, large infotainment screens, and Level 2 ADAS, aligning with global standards in EV technology.

Pre-bookings for the VF 6 and VF 7 are now open at a fully refundable price of ₹21,000 through showrooms or the official website, with public sales starting in August after the inauguration of its assembly plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. This local manufacturing plan supports VinFast’s long-term ambition to make India a strategic EV production and export hub.

VinFast’s market strategy is anchored in localization, strong dealership presence, and sustainability. It is launching with 13 dealer partners to open 32 dealerships across 27 cities, creating a robust 3S network (Sales, Service, Spares). To strengthen the EV ecosystem, VinFast has partnered with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure for nationwide charging infrastructure and after-sales services, and with BatX Energies for battery recycling and rare metal recovery — reinforcing its circular economy vision.

VinFast positions the VF 6 and VF 7 as technologically advanced yet practical EVs for Indian families and professionals, underscoring its commitment to affordability, innovation, and environmental responsibility.

Tesla, which has lost its worldwide EV crown to BYD, has opened its showroom in Mumbai, India to attract buyers for its premium electric cars.
