CVE North America Launches 7-MW Solar-Plus-Storage Project in New York

CVE North America has initiated a 7-MW solar-plus-storage project in Riverhead, New York, marking its entry into the state’s energy storage market. The Riverhead Project, situated on a capped landfill, combines a 7-MW solar array with a 13.6-MWh battery storage system. This development expands CVE’s community solar portfolio to 95 MW and aims to enhance grid reliability while providing clean energy to local communities. By integrating energy storage with solar power, CVE seeks to optimize energy distribution and support New York’s transition to sustainable energy sources

Baltic Power Opens Poland’s First Offshore Wind O&M Base in Leba

Baltic Power, a joint venture between ORLEN and Northland Power, has inaugurated Poland’s first offshore wind operations and maintenance (O&M) base in the port city of Leba. This facility will support the 1.2 GW Baltic Power offshore wind farm, currently under construction in the Baltic Sea and scheduled for completion in 2026. The O&M base will serve as a hub for the farm’s 30-year operational lifespan, handling crew transfers, equipment storage, and maintenance coordination. The project is expected to generate approximately 4,000 GWh of clean electricity annually, reducing CO₂ emissions by about 2.8 million tonnes per year.

Geoquip Marine Completes Geotechnical Survey for 8 GW Offshore Wind Projects in Germany

Geoquip Marine has finalized a preliminary geotechnical site investigation for two offshore wind projects, each with a capacity of 4 GW, located in the German North Sea. Utilizing the Dina Polaris vessel, the company drilled 28 boreholes, conducted soil sampling, and performed seismic monitoring to assess subsurface conditions at depths of approximately 40 meters. The data collected will inform the design and engineering phases of the projects, contributing to Germany’s goal of achieving at least 30 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030. Geoquip Marine’s commitment to safety and precision was recognized with a safety award from the developer.

Danske Commodities to Balance 300 MW of Swedish Wind for RPC

Danske Commodities has signed a balancing agreement with Renewable Power Capital (RPC) for two Swedish onshore wind farms — Vitberget and Sorlidberget — totaling 300 MW. The 46 turbines span 1,400 hectares and are part of RPC’s 553 MW flagship wind portfolio in Sweden. Danske Commodities will provide market access and balancing services, helping to integrate the variable wind output into the grid. This deal brings Danske Commodities’ managed capacity in Sweden to 1 GW, reinforcing its role in the country’s renewable energy transition

ILI Group Secures Approval for 100-MW Battery Storage Project in Scotland

Scottish clean energy developer ILI Group has received Section 36 planning consent for a 100-MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Scotland. This approval marks a significant step in enhancing the UK’s energy storage capacity, supporting the integration of renewable energy sources and contributing to grid stability. The project aligns with ILI Group’s commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions and bolstering the nation’s transition to a low-carbon future.
