Coulomb Technologies in pact with National Grid to install EV charging stations throughout New York State

By Greentech Lead
America:
Coulomb Technologies, an electric vehicle (EV) charging
solutions provider, has partnered with National Grid, an electricity and gas
company in the Northeast, to extend Coulomb’s ChargePoint Network throughout
New York State. The partnership will install more than 160 charging ports
across the state.

The New York State Energy Research and Development
Authority (NYSERDA) has provided nearly $1 million of $4.4 million funding
under its Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Demonstration Program to Coulomb to
supply, deploy and install charging stations across New York State.

“We are proud to receive this funding for such an
important infrastructure project in New York State. We look forward to working
closely with the leaders in New York to pursue our common goal of EV adoption
while simultaneously promoting economic and environmental benefits. This
program will place 80 percent of the ChargePoint stations in upstate New
York,” said Pat Romano, president and CEO of Coulomb Technologies.

The ChargePoint Network is the largest network of public EV
charging stations in New York and National Grid delivers electricity and
natural gas to about 1.6 million customers in the upstate region.

Coulomb’s ChargePoint Network
provides drivers the ability to: help with trip planning, manage the cost
of charging, and find and operate public ChargePoint-enabled stations.
ChargePoint locations are included on all ChargePoint mobile phone applications
for iPhone, Android and Blackberry. These ChargePoint mobile apps provide an
easy way to locate stations, get turn-by-turn directions, and even start and
stop a charging session directly from a smart phone.

National Grid installs more than 30 charging stations as part
of Charge Point Network

Recently, Coulomb Technologies announced that
National Grid completed the installation of more than 30 new charging stations,
part of Coulomb’s ChargePoint Network, at several locations across
Massachusetts.
