Saatvik Green Energy Starts 1.3 GW Solar Module Manufacturing in Odisha

Saatvik Green Energy has commenced commercial production at its new photovoltaic module manufacturing facility in Gopalpur, Odisha, adding approximately 1.3 GW of annual production capacity. The company confirmed that manufacturing began on November 2 through its subsidiary Saatvik Solar Industries. The installation represents the first phase of a planned 4 GW solar module manufacturing project. Additional production lines are expected to be commissioned in subsequent phases. Saatvik had previously disclosed an investment of approximately ₹251 crore in the facility during February 2026. The new factory strengthens the company’s manufacturing presence outside Haryana and supports domestic demand for solar modules used in utility-scale, commercial and industrial renewable-energy installations.

LONGi Plans $111 Million Upgrade of Solar Module Factory in China to HPBC 2.0 Technology

Chinese photovoltaic manufacturer LONGi Green Energy Technology is planning to invest approximately CNY 736.3 million, equivalent to $111 million, to upgrade its solar module manufacturing operations in Anhui province. Disclosed November 3 through environmental approval documentation, the investment involves converting three existing TOPCon production lines to LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 back-contact photovoltaic technology. The conversion will modernise existing manufacturing infrastructure rather than establish an entirely new production site. LONGi is expanding its use of back-contact solar technology as manufacturers compete to improve photovoltaic conversion efficiency and product performance. The investment remains subject to applicable approvals and implementation requirements. A confirmed completion date and revised factory output were not disclosed.

ACME Solar Commissions 66.68 MW in Rajasthan, Raising Hybrid Project’s Solar Capacity to 200 MW

ACME Solar Holdings has commissioned an additional 66.68 MW of solar capacity at its hybrid renewable-energy project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Disclosed November 2–3, the commissioning increases operational solar capacity at the facility to 200.04 MW out of the planned 300 MW. Commercial operation for the latest addition is scheduled to begin November 4. Developed through subsidiary ACME Renewtech, the project is located at Kelan village in Bikaner district. Electricity is contracted to NTPC under a power purchase agreement with a tariff of ₹3.36 per kWh. ACME Solar expects to commission the remaining approximately 100 MW of solar capacity by the end of Q3 FY2027. Its total operational portfolio is approximately 3,190 MW.
