Risen Energy, a renowned global solar photovoltaic (PV) product manufacturer, has announced a major achievement with the successful production of its Hyper-ion heterojunction (HJT) solar modules at its Nanbin 15GW manufacturing base (Phase-1). The company celebrated this milestone with a ceremony attended by Risen Energy’s executives and government officials, marking a significant step towards enhancing the production capacity of the Hyper-ion series.

Earlier this year, Risen Energy unveiled its ambitious plan to amplify the production capacity of its cutting-edge n-type HJT Hyper-ion series to 15GW by the close of 2023.

The Hyper-ion HJT modules designed by Risen Energy stand out in the solar technology landscape due to their advanced features that not only exceed industry performance standards but also deliver cost-effectiveness. These modules achieve unparalleled efficiency through the utilization of cutting-edge low-temperature double-sided passivated contacts and double-sided microcrystalline technology. Furthermore, the incorporation of pastes with reduced silver content and an innovative alloy frame design ensures outstanding reliability while also reducing costs.

With an impressive peak power output of 741.456Wp and an efficiency surpassing 23.89 percent, Risen Energy’s Hyper-ion HJT modules exhibit a stable temperature coefficient, ensuring that they maintain over 90 percent of their power output even after three decades of operation. Additionally, these modules boast an environmentally friendly aspect, with a carbon footprint value (CFP) of less than 400kg eq CO2/kWc.

The Nanbin manufacturing base, situated in the southern region of Ningbo, represents a substantial investment of RMB 15.2 billion and spans an area of 1,448 mu (238 acres). This facility is a pivotal component of Ningbo’s ambitious new energy plan, striving to establish an industrial ecosystem with a focus on solar PV cells, glasses, modules, and energy storage systems. Ninghai County, a part of Ningbo, has emerged as a prominent solar hub, with the combined output of the PV and energy storage sectors reaching RMB 6.65 billion in the first quarter of 2023, showcasing a remarkable growth of 78.8 percent compared to the same period last year.

Ge Renyuan, Deputy County Mayor of Ninghai, extended congratulations on this monumental moment for the manufacturing base, highlighting, “Risen Energy’s leadership in PV R&D and manufacturing has played a pivotal role in the industry’s progress. The inauguration of the Nanbin manufacturing plant is a significant step in expanding Ninghai’s renewable energy landscape. We are dedicated to fostering a business-friendly environment that encourages innovation and transformative changes, propelling both China and the global community towards energy transition.”

Wu Xuegang, President & Member of Executive Board of Risen Energy, expressed the company’s commitment to revolutionizing the solar industry through technological innovation. He emphasized, “We will continue to focus on accelerating the production of high-efficiency modules as we strengthen the solar value chain in Nanhai. Our objective is to bolster industry synergy and establish the region as a powerhouse in PV and energy storage.”

Risen Energy’s steadfast dedication continues to contribute to the advancement of renewable energy solutions on a global scale.
