Vestas has won an order for supplying 359 MW of V120-2.2 MW turbines for a wind project in the United States.

Vestas did not reveal the name of the client.

The wind power project has a total nameplate capacity of 400 MW including previously purchased V112-3.45 MW components.

Vestas said the mixed platform site configuration demonstrates the flexibility of Vestas’ 2 MW and 4 MW platforms, and Vestas’ ability to create customized site layouts designed to optimise the site’s wind resources.

Vestas said the order includes supply and commissioning of the turbines as well as a 10-year service agreement. Vestas will deliver the turbine in the first quarter of 2020 and the commissioning will in the third quarter of 2020.
