Vestas Secures Major Repowering Order for Eurus Kamaishi Wind Farm in Japan

Vestas, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, has clinched a substantial 46 MW repowering order in collaboration with Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation for the Eurus Kamaishi Wind Farm situated in the scenic Iwate prefecture of Japan.

The comprehensive order encompasses the supply and meticulous supervision of installation for a fleet comprising 11 units of V117-4.2 MW wind turbines, marking a significant step towards enhancing the wind farm’s operational efficiency and sustainability.

In addition to the turbine supply, Vestas is set to deliver an extended multi-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) service tailored for the wind farm. This service will play a pivotal role in ensuring an energy-based availability guarantee, thereby optimizing performance and ensuring long-term operational reliability for the esteemed customer.

The delivery of these turbines is slated to commence in the initial quarter of 2025, with the meticulous commissioning phase earmarked for completion in 2026. This timeline underscores Vestas’ commitment to advancing the sustainable energy landscape in Japan while fortifying its position as a key player in the global renewable energy sector.
